Job Title: Executive Housekeeper
Location: Bucharest, Romania

Position Overview:
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for leading the Housekeeping team to achieve and maintain company service standards in all aspects. The job holder is responsible for organizing the daily operations of the team in response to ever changing daily need, while ensuring that the highest standards are delivered in cleaning, maintaining and servicing of both internal and external guest areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibility & Authority:
- Responsible for cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of the entire Hotel.
- Ensure that rooms are made as per company standards.
- Prepare Annual Housekeeping Budget.
- Maintain par stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, linen, and uniforms.
- Organize inventories with Accounts and General Store for linen, uniform, and fixed assets.
- Pay particular attention while organizing pest eradication activities.
- Develop and implement Housekeeping systems and procedures
- Prepare reports for management information.
- Assist the Purchase department in selecting suppliers for items related to Housekeeping.
- Planned, controlled, and supervised Housekeeping activities.
- Attending and resolving guest complaints.
- Verification of supplies consignments.
- Organize on-the-job training and evaluate its effectiveness.
- Approval of the Functional Manual of the department.
- Recommend recruitment of new personnel.
Qualifications:
- Ideally a minimum of 3 years in an Executive Housekeeping or Supervisor role in a luxury hotel, with responsibility for managing staff.
- Basic room cleaning knowledge or a room attendant background
- Fluent in written & spoken English.
- Good computer knowledge: Microsoft package, Outlook, hotel software (Opera).
- Good understanding of housekeeping management systems & processes.
- Financial planning, budgeting and P&L analysis (desirable)
- Experience working in a multicultural environment (desirable)
- Additional knowledge and experience in: technical cleaning and maintenance and in fabric care & laundry.
- A highly energetic person, with an enthusiastic and positive attitude, adaptable and able to respond quickly to change.
- A confident, responsible (for own person and for the team) person, with strong leadership skills and a passion to engage people. Proactive, persistent, outside of the box thinking, effective planner.
- Assertive, diplomatic and communicative, able to easily connect with people and to work with diverse teams.
- Excellent attention to detail. Ensures consistency.
- Motivates the team and encourages advancement.
- Ability to manage own time and others effectively
